AIGA DC Fellow Award 2010: Call for Nominations

AIGA Fellow: In recognition of significant personal and professional contributions to raising the standards of excellence within the design community.

AIGA DC invites you to nominate an outstanding member of the design community for recognition as a 2010 AIGA Fellow.

The AIGA Fellow is a national program through which each chapter can recognize one or more mature designers who have made significant contributions to the local design communities and chapter by raising the standards of excellence in practice and conduct. In measuring significant contribution, the areas of education, writing, leadership, and reputation, as well as the practice of design, have equal consideration. A Fellow Award nominee should be:

• A practitioner and/or educator with more than 15 years of experience in the profession
• A member in good standing
• Making or has made a significant contribution to AIGA
• Making or has made a positive impact within their local or regional design community
• Advancing or has advanced excellence in graphic design as a discipline, profession, and cultural force

This year, AIGA DC will honor its Fellow Award recipient(s) by this Fall/Winter Season 2010. At the national level, all new Fellows will be listed on the AIGA website in the AIGA Fellows gallery.

To nominate an individual for the 2010 AIGA DC Fellow Award, please contact Jill Spaeth. Please include the nominee's name, a brief description of how the nominee embodies an AIGA DC Fellow, and the nominee's contact info. Nominations must be received by Friday, May 07.
